lettuce

Well-known garden plant from the Compositae family. Contains lactucorium, nitrogen, minerals, calcium, iron, phosphorus, carotene, vitamin C.

In folk medicine, it is used for gastritis, as a sedative for neurasthenia and insomnia. You can prepare decoctions from the leaves, but it is better to use fresh ones – in the form of a salad with sour cream and salt.

It is believed in folk medicine that an infusion of herbs is necessary for chronic gastritis, as a therapeutic and prophylactic agent against scurvy, soothing in disorders of the nervous system and as lowering blood pressure. Lettuce should be recommended for nutrition to children, the elderly and those recovering from a serious illness.

Application

Infusion: 1 tbsp. a spoonful of leaves in a glass of boiling water, insist 1-2 hours and drink half a glass 2 times every day or a glass at night. The infusion of seeds has a milk-producing effect.
